Project AWARE viikko 2019 – Sukeltajat roskaamista vastaan

Project AWARE toimii sukeltajien kanssa ympäri maailman vedenalaisen ympäristön suojelemiseksi.

Tänä päivänä Project AWARE on seikkailijoiden yhteisön globaali liike merten suojelemiseksi. Se yhdistää intohimon merelliseen seikkailuun ja merten suojeluun luodakseen pysyvän muutoksen.

Wärtsilän vapaaehtoiset ovat työskennelleet Project AWARE:n parissa jo neljänä vuotena Suomessa. Tänä aikana tiimi on luonut vahvan yhteistyömallin Helsingin kaupungin sekä paikallisen sukellusyhteisön kanssa, missä yli 100 vapaaehtoista on osallistunut vuosien varella ja kerännyt yli tonnin painosta roskaa vedestä.

Tämän vuoden Syyskuussa Wärtsilän vapaaehtoiset järjestävät jälleen rannikon siivoustapahtuman Kaivopuistossa, Helsingissä. Toivotamme sinut tervetulleeksi liittymään mukaan vapaaehtoisena, joko maalla tai vedessä. Jos haluaisit olla yksi sukeltajista korjaamassa roskia merenpohjasta tapahtumassa, rekisteröidy mukaan!

Project AWARE Week 2019 - Dive Against Debris

Project AWARE works with scuba divers across the globe to protect underwater environments.

Today, Project AWARE is a global movement for ocean protection powered by a community of adventurers. It connects the passion for ocean adventure with the purpose of marine conservation to create lasting change. 

The Wärtsila volunteers have worked with Project AWARE already for four years. During this time, the team has created strong co-operation with the City of Helsinki and the local diving community, having over 100 volunteers engaged throughout the years and having collected more than 1 ton of garbage from the water.

This September, Wärtsilä volunteers will once again organize a coastal cleaning event in Kaivopuisto in Helsinki, Finland. We welcome you to join as a volunteer, either on land or in the water. If you would like to become one of the divers cleaning the water bed during the event, please sign up!
