This year's Crazy For The Earth event will be held in Beltzville Lake at Beltzville State Park in Lehighton, PA.  It is being done in conjunction with Project AWARE and Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful.

Never heard of Beltzville Lake?  That's because SCUBA Diving is not normally allowed there.  Beltzville Lake and the surrounding land is controlled by the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and leased by the Pennsylvania Department of Conversation and Natural Resources (DCNR).  I was given a ONE DAY ONLY Special Use Permit by the USACE and DCNR to conduct my cleanup event here for Earth Day.  I was asked to make it clear the this event does not automatically grant any rights to dive any other time at this location.

You can follow any updated to the event on the Facebook Event Page.  It has the depth maps and a video from our exploratory dive in October 2020 to make sure it's safe as there's a large water intake near the dam (hence the NO DIVING under normal circumstances).
